A new coat for the tallest exhibit

The exhibition workshop is replacing the outer covering of its giraffe figure. The worn material has been taken off in sections so that the fitters can reach the frame and fastenings beneath it.
In the photograph, the shoulder panel is being held in position before it is secured. The remaining sections have been laid out on the workbench. The figure is to be returned to the exhibition hall when the work is complete.
The workshop is preparing several displays for the summer opening. School parties are expected during the following week.
