New arrival expected on Monday

The animal house at the municipal exhibition will reopen to visitors on Monday, the committee announced yesterday. The latest arrival has been given the enclosure at the far end of the hall.

A keeper will accompany school parties and answer questions during the afternoon visits. The committee asks visitors not to offer food to the animals or lean over the enclosure.

The band will play outside during the afternoon if the weather permits. Adult admission remains one shilling, with the usual arrangements for parties from schools.
